Vendor Fees & Commission
Cheepla uses the following tiered commission model for eligible physical-product sales. Commission is calculated separately for each vendor within an order, using that vendor’s qualifying product subtotal.
Commission Tiers
₦3,000–₦99,999: 10%. ₦100,000–₦1,000,000: 7%. ₦1,000,001 and above: 5%. The applicable rate is selected using that vendor’s net product subtotal for the order, after item-level discounts and refunds. Shipping and tax are excluded.
Subtotals Below ₦3,000
Cheepla has not approved a commission rate for vendor subtotals below ₦3,000. No percentage is assumed or charged. The affected vendor amount is marked policy-pending and excluded from earnings and payout balances until a rate is formally set.
Examples
A qualifying subtotal of ₦50,000 attracts ₦5,000 commission; ₦250,000 attracts ₦17,500 commission; and ₦1,200,000 attracts ₦60,000 commission. These examples exclude shipping and tax and assume no vendor-specific override or later refund.
Cheepla Services Are Separate
This physical-product marketplace commission does not change or override any separate commission rules configured for Cheepla services or gigs.
Refund Adjustments
If a vendor item is refunded, the vendor financial calculation is adjusted so that commission is not retained on the refunded item amount.
Policy Changes
The applicable rate is the one shown in Cheepla Marketplace Settings or confirmed in writing for your account. Cheepla will communicate material changes to its marketplace terms through an appropriate notice.
