Cheepla.com – Engineer & Technician Terms and Conditions

These Engineer and Technician Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the relationship between Cheepla.com (“Cheepla”) and all Engineers, Technicians, Repair Specialists, and Service Providers (“Technicians”) registered on the platform.

By registering, accepting jobs, or providing services through Cheepla, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

1. Eligibility

To provide services through Cheepla, Technicians must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess the necessary skills, qualifications, and experience required for the services offered.
• Provide accurate registration information and maintain updated profile details.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Cheepla reserves the right to verify qualifications, certifications, references, and identity documents.

2. Independent Contractor Relationship

Technicians operate as independent contractors and not as employees, partners, agents, or representatives of Cheepla.

Nothing in this Agreement shall be interpreted as creating an employment relationship between Cheepla and any Technician.

Technicians are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, permits, licenses, and regulatory obligations.

3. Assignment of Jobs

• Cheepla may assign repair requests and service jobs to Technicians based on availability, location, expertise, performance, and customer requirements.
• Cheepla does not guarantee a minimum number of jobs.
• Technicians may accept or decline job assignments where permitted by platform rules.

4. Payments and Earnings

• Customers must make all payments directly through Cheepla’s approved payment channels.
• Technicians are prohibited from requesting, accepting, encouraging, or facilitating direct payments from customers.
• Cheepla shall collect payments from customers and disburse Technician earnings according to its payout schedule.
• Applicable service fees, commissions, deductions, or administrative charges may be deducted before payout.
• Payout timelines may vary depending on verification requirements, banking systems, and dispute resolution processes.

5. Strict Prohibition of Off-Platform Transactions

To protect customers, Technicians, and the integrity of the platform:

• Technicians shall not solicit, request, accept, or encourage off-platform payments.
• Technicians shall not redirect customers to personal accounts, businesses, social media pages, websites, phone numbers, or alternative payment channels for the purpose of bypassing Cheepla.
• Technicians shall not enter into private service arrangements with customers introduced through Cheepla without written authorization from Cheepla.

Any attempt to bypass the platform shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement.

6. Non-Circumvention and Customer Protection

Customers introduced through Cheepla remain platform customers.

Technicians shall not:

• Solicit repeat business outside the platform.
• Exchange payment details for future off-platform work.
• Offer discounts intended to persuade customers to avoid using Cheepla.
• Share personal banking information for direct payments.

This restriction shall continue during the Technician’s participation on the platform and for twelve (12) months after account termination.

7. Service Standards

Technicians agree to:

• Perform services professionally and competently.
• Use appropriate tools, equipment, and repair methods.
• Treat customers respectfully.
• Provide accurate diagnoses and repair recommendations.
• Complete jobs within agreed timelines whenever reasonably possible.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship.

8. Customer Property and Data

Technicians shall:

• Handle customer devices with reasonable care.
• Respect customer privacy and confidentiality.
• Avoid accessing personal files, accounts, photos, messages, or data except where necessary for diagnostics or repairs.
• Immediately report any accidental damage or security concerns.

Unauthorized access, copying, disclosure, or misuse of customer data is strictly prohibited.

9. Warranty Responsibilities

Where a repair includes a service warranty, Technicians may be required to assist in resolving warranty-related issues.

Technicians shall cooperate with investigations regarding repair quality, warranty claims, and customer complaints.

10. Fraud and Misrepresentation

Technicians shall not:

• Submit false repair reports.
• Inflate repair costs.
• Misrepresent qualifications or experience.
• Falsify parts replacements.
• Engage in fraudulent conduct.

Any fraudulent activity may result in immediate termination and possible legal action.

11. Suspension and Termination

Cheepla may suspend or terminate a Technician’s account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms.
• Customer complaints.
• Poor service quality.
• Fraudulent activity.
• Off-platform transactions.
• Harassment or misconduct.
• Repeated failure to meet platform standards.

Cheepla’s decision regarding account suspension or termination shall be final.

12. Penalties for Payment Bypass

Where a Technician is found to have accepted, requested, or facilitated off-platform payments:

• Immediate suspension or permanent termination may occur.
• Pending earnings may be withheld pending investigation.
• Outstanding commissions or fees may become immediately payable.
• Access to future job opportunities may be permanently revoked.
• Cheepla reserves the right to pursue legal remedies for losses resulting from such conduct.

13. Intellectual Property

Technicians shall not use Cheepla’s name, logo, branding, marketing materials, customer database, or proprietary information without written permission.

All platform-related intellectual property remains the exclusive property of Cheepla.

14. Confidentiality

Technicians shall keep confidential all customer information, business information, pricing structures, operational procedures, and proprietary information obtained through the platform.

This obligation survives termination of the Agreement.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cheepla shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from a Technician’s use of the platform.

16. Modifications

Cheepla reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

18. Acceptance

By registering as an Engineer or Technician on Cheepla, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
